A Quiet Opening: Beginning the Day with Morning Stillness

Lantijntjes · 20 July 2026

There is a soft window at the start of every day, just before the noise begins. Morning Stillness is a way of meeting that window on purpose, with breath rather than haste.

Set the space

Begin by lighting a single candle. The flame is not decoration. It is a gentle anchor for the attention, something warm to return to when the mind wanders. A Brass Offering Bowl nearby can hold a small coin, a sprig of herb, or simply your intention for the day.

Breathe with intention

Let the breath be slow and even. With each inhale, imagine gathering your focus. With each exhale, set down what does not need to be carried. An Amethyst Point resting close by supports this quiet, calming the space around you.

Close gently

When you are ready, note your intention in a Moon Phase Journal, even a single line. You are not planning the day so much as orienting toward it. Then blow out the candle, and begin.

Morning Stillness asks little of you. A few minutes, a lit flame, and the willingness to begin where you are.
